Ok, lets face it, I just love you all so very much!
Thank you for putting up with so many emails flying your way in 2015. We have so much to share, and so want to help lift spirits, release your stress and bring joy into this troubled world. Please allow this message to serve as my way of saying thank you for listening, for coming to drum circles and spreading the good word about the power of rhythm to bring healing and hope for humanity.
This is my 20th year as the founder of Circles of Rhythm, and it has been the best year yet! Even the downturn of the economy had not dampened our Friday Night Drum Circle Spirit with 100 people from all walks of life regularly showing up to drum, connect and celebrate whats right in the world.
I have decided to slow down my pace in life and have been mentoring and training the amazing Jamie Gore to run the day to day operations at Circles of Rhythm. Her integrity, honesty and authentic passion never cease to amaze me. We operate a true conscious business where people and passion come before profit and prestige. It is a privilege to serve humanity through this company.
In addition, Jamie Gore and Julien Lepage have taken on the lead responsibility for facilitating the Friday night drum circles. AND, Julien is also heading up the AHS Drumming up Wellness program, and it is on fire! I hold a key role as the lead provider of professional DCF Training for what will soon become a province wide initiative!
In 2016 you can look forward to the following:
~Rocking the town on Friday Nights!
~Weekend Retreats in the Mountains
~Drum Lodges on Sunday nights in the city
~Ongoing Private Event bookings
~DCF and Health Practitioner Training
So, 2015 has brought many changes in the world, from climate change to much violence and pain, seen most recently in the mass murders in the USA and in the Syrian refugees. All that said, I am excited to see that Canada is finally stepping up to help. It makes me proud to be a Canadian these days. Justin Trudeau gives me much hope as he makes the environment, indigenous people, equality between men and women priorities over monetizing and power grabbing. We are in the Aquarian Age and must support these kinds of changes when we see them.
We have been dealing with the two themes of fear and hope in 2015 and I believe we will continue to do so in 2016. It is a good time to examine how these themes manifest in your life and to note where you choose to put your time and attention in 2016. Enough politics!
Here are a couple simple practices to build into your health and wellness regime in 2016 They will serve not only you but also humanitys shift from fear to hope:
1. Get a brand new journal, put it beside your bed and every night write down two things:
What am I most grateful for today, and what inspired me the most today.
2. STOP regularly throughout the day and get in sync with your heart, with love. Put your hand on your heart, breathe deeply in and out for a minute or so and bring to mind a happy memory. Stay with this for 2-5 minutes 2-3 times a day and you will be not only doing yourself a favor, but everyone around you as well.
I wish you and your tribe blessings for 2016 and send you love and gratitude as we continue down this good red road together.
Sawubona and Sabuyani!
(I see the god-ness in you, and in all of humanity)
