Damn Frogs!

I read this little poem today and it was perfect as I have been wrestling with some big issues in my life lately.

You are the pebble
You are the ripple
You are the pond
In every pond there is some damn frog making noises we don’t like
so, build a bridge and get over it!

You know how sometimes your life is pretty smooth but there is something that keep bugging you.  That something that keeps bugging you needs attention.  If you believe that everything you do matters & makes a difference, then doing nothing about the irritating frog is actually doing something.  When the frog is roaring and keeping you from sleep or making you sick, then it is imperative that you do something!

Also, when in distress we often forget or forgo our healthy balancing practices that will help you get clarity on what to do to handle the difficulty; meditation, journaling, prayer yoga, walking in nature etc.  The frog gets louder…  we get sick, tired, depressed, we distract ourselves and addictions kick in.

The poem suggests we build a bridge and get over it.  There are really only two ways to build that bridge over something that is irritating your life:

Confront it
Cut the cords and truly let it go

Easier said than done, but it must be done if you truly desire to be the change you want to see in the world.

Rib-bit!
